Made with a careful selection of malts and a pinch of roasted barley for a flavor that balances toffee-like sweetness with a dryish toasty character.

Lovely clear dark brownish red with thick off-white foam in the Maredsous goblet. Aroma is nothing special, but hints of cereal. Flavor starts our slightly sweet with a tangy note, then darker and roasted. Hints of walnuts, toast, and more malt. Mouthfeel is splendid, creamy, mouth-filling. If I've had a better Irish Red, I don't know when. If more of them were as well-made as this, it would be a popular style. Especially at such a modest ABV. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated 02/11/26
