Very much on par in terms of overall quality with beers like daytime and easy jack, and has more of a Vermont hop character that a west coast one in terms of delicacy and overall refinement. It's less meaty than their base IPA but equally well done. It's hops are bright and zesty like all day, but it falls short of that style benchmark due to being a little heavier down and less carbonated than the founders. Also, while I think 5 percent abv is a reasonable cutoff for session to mean anything, it's on the high side there too. As an IPA though this beer can't be ignored, is extremely delicious and refreshing, and should help put thus operation on the map.

Pours one finger of head on a clear golden colored body.
The aroma is strong pine followed by grapefruit and orange. Nice.
The taste is dry pine bitterness throughout, though the bitterness is moderate strength with some earthiness.
The texture is dry and crisp with moderate carbonation.
It's a nice showcase for citra.
