Beer brewed with mushrooms? Yep. Umami is one of the five basic tastes and roughly translates to "pleasant and savory". We think this brown ale fits the bill. English character malts combine with earthy American hops in this hybrid Northern English/American Brown Ale. The addition of the shiitake gives it an extra hit of earthiness and a touch of that savory quality. Brewed as a way to bring food and beer together, Shroominous was built for pairing with anything from steak to risotto.

Looks great in the tulip and has a great earthy taste.

Could not pickup any mushroom flavor or taste. Not sure if it's supposed have that flavor. Would drink again if I was in the mood
