64 ounce growler
Served in a Blank Slate tulip glass
This beer pours gold in color with a slight haze. An aggressive pours yields an inch of white head that doesn't hang around long.
It smells more like a Belgian pale ale than a saison. I get some pear and banana with some spice.
The taste is also similar to what I perceive as Belgian pale ale flavors. I get spiced pear with some Belgian yeast esters and very subtle pepper.
Thin mouthfeel
I was hoping the pepper would come through more.
