A cross between a German Pilsner and an American Blonde Ale has a nice blend of maltiness and bitterness with spicy, earthy, and herbal qualities to boot. A bootjack was used for more leverage to remove boots and freed a gold miner's hands for work on more important tasks.

From BeerAdvocate magazine Issue #77 (June 2013):

LOOK: Bright pale yellow, sudsy

SMELL: Chalky, biscuity, citrus pith, green peppercorn, very clean

TASTE: Very bready, smooth, mild crispness, earthy, herbal, fresh grain, mildly grassy, some bitterness, melon rind, clean dry-ish palate, floral hop finish

Brewer’s intention was to merge an American Blonde and a German Pilsner. Job well done on keeping it very clean and extremely drinkable. Proof that not all “yellow” beer is the same. Perhaps not the most complex brew out there, but sometimes simplicity wins.
