Irish Red: This beer is made with British pale malt, as well as a generous amount of caramel malt. Northern Brewer hops. A nice light beer with a caramel finish. 23 IBUs.

The Irish Red is another solid staple at the EagleMonk. This beer poured a very nice clear crimson with thin head that did not lace as much as I would prefer. The scent was a mostly a very nice malty sweet scent. The taste had a caramel cream roasty smoke flavor that was nicely balanced with hops. The mouthfeel was medium in body with smooth carbonation. Overall it was an outstanding red and will be very likable to many.
