A pint can poured into a beer glass. Gold color with high clarity and medium head retention, and light random lacing.
The grainy Pilsner 2-row barley malt is the backbone of flavor on this one, with hints of caramel and a little citrus. The hops are fairly well balanced and provide a clean dry finish.

Nothing spectacular here, but a solid Pilsner that is enjoyable and refreshing.

Presentation: 500 mL can poured into a pint glass. Purchased from Total Wine & more.

Look: bright golden color. Froth five finger foam head that lingers. Plenty of lacing. It is a nice looking beer.

Smell: malt, grains, floral hops.

Taste: notes of herbal hops, peppery spice, grass, grains, and malt. Slightly bitter aftertaste but not overpowering.

Feel: medium bodied. Smooth and creamy mouth feel. Moderate carbonation.

Overall: this is a good pilsner. It has bold flavors, but the taste is still well balanced. It has that quintessential peppery taste of a Pilsner. I would buy this beer again and it is worth trying.

Copenhagen 1/6 2018. 33 cl bottle From Edeka, Damp. White label with a bunch of gold medals and a golden Shield with a blue lion.

Pours clear yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as a 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Modest lacing.

Fairly intense aroma. Rather harsh sour bitterness. Solid malty sweet backbone. Light saltiness.

Medium strong carbonation. Prickly. Watery, thin texture.

Flavor is medium sweet followed by stronger bitterness. Aftertaste has distinct bitterness. Finish is semi-dry.

Harsh Flavor but crisp and nicely balanced Pilsner.

This interesting brand recently arrived locally, and what a pleasant surprise. Pours into a bubble stein with a nice head, but minimal scent. Looks outstanding in the glass, with a golden brown color, unlike the usual straw color one gets with the other big German macro pilsners. Up front, there's a malt flavor that exceeds the usual pilsner expectation, but without being overly sweet. The hops are tasty, a big tangy, and a bit stronger than other big pilsners. Crisp and overall, more flavorful than the other big German brands that I normally drink. This one is still hard to find, but worthwhile getting.

Bright gold, crystal clear color with modest head. Crackery malt aroma with light hops. Tad disappointing flavor, needs more hop flavor. But not bad: ok bitterness and good malt. Body is well carbonated, making it light and drinkable. Middle of the road German pils.

Right in the middle of the pack, I had this on tap at a kondieterei in Karlsruhe. Drinkable, but nothing in particular was a standout...good solid pils

Look: Pale yellow. Finger of almost white foam that leaves light lacing.

Smell: Slightly sweet cracker. A little spicy hop. Simple, but pleasant.

Taste: A nice herbal bite with more bitterness than I expected, in a good way. Some malty sweetness underneath, but definitely bitter on the finish.

Feel: Crisp and light.

Overall: I liked this a lot. I’ve long thought Bitburger was my favorite industrial Pils, but this is a worthy challenger.
