Very big and spacious place with outdoor and indoor seating as well as a big bar. Bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. Their food was awesome! Big juicy burger and amazing French fries. They had 13 beers on tap one being sold out. Lots of variety of beer styles including ipa, NE ipa, sour, Vienna lager, lager, black lager, nut brown, dipa, and a basil and black currant beer. Overall beer was very good definitely made better beer than frog alley and wolf hollow (which was the other two breweries hit during my vacation). Their lager, sour, and NE ipa stood out the most in my flight. Super cool ambiance too very modern and slick. Worth another visit!

This is a great place to visit for good beer while you're in Saratoga! Not far from the track or casino, and right down town in the middle of shopping, Druthers makes a great "pit stop" during your visit (or a great place to hang out while everyone else shops)

Food is above average, with great apps, reasonably priced (and tasty) pub fare.

Beer offerings are pretty decent, though the last couple of times i've been there, they only had the "standard" offerings - nothing special or one-off - though friends have told me they do offer good specials normally.

The beer is nothing special but the service and food were better than most brew pubs. We especially enjoyed the mac and cheese and lasagna and the pizza has a very nice crust.

Standard brew pub fair, mostly of the pre-packaged from Cisco type food products. Burger seemed like it was a frozen pre-formed patty.

Looks like the inside of any generic brew pub.

Service was fine, young waitress. Didn't have much beer knowledge but she didn't make any mistakes and was friendly and somewhat attentive.

Had a good amount of variety of their brews. All were ok, nothing great, but nothing horrible.

Big, expansive seating area w/ decent parking options for area that seems like it could be a real laid back or a real party vibe. Food is moderately priced which is good since it's of moderate (read: pretty good but not great) quality. Beer is same way as I had two beers that were pretty good but nothing outstanding - at least there are several options on the tap list so you should fine one that pleases you.

Love Druther's! Both locations, Albany and Saratoga are great. The beer selection and the taste of the beer is very good! If I were to create a brew pub, it would be Druther's!

We live a few miles away and have been to Druthers over 100 times. We've eaten just about everything on their menu. I can honestly say, I've never even had an average meal. Best burgers, best mac and cheese, and the loaded grilled cheese is incredible! The beers are always really good too and they are pushing themselves to get better. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Beer choices were nicely diverse from a gose to hoppy brown to bock plus the normal options. Quality was solid but not stellar. The bar, vast patio and seating areas are all nicely done, great vibe. The food- huge letdown. Started great with really good wings but after that went downhill. Beer cheese is great, but absolutely not on buffalo chicken pizza and that want their only mishap. Hopefully the kitchen can improve.

Druthers has a lot to choose from. I like their All In IPA and a few of their flavored seasonals. The food is very filling and tasty, especially the pretzels with beer cheese and any of the various mac and cheese combinations they have. Also, I'm a big fan of their duck confit sandwich. There's plenty of room, if you want to sit down, and enough space at the bar.

Beautiful patio and restaurant. A little limited menu, but food is very good. Beer list had 10 choices. Unique, good vibes, with bit of character- one of my new favorite places!

The wings were a bit undercooked and our server was clearly annoyed that we were just sampling a few beers and not ordering a full dinner meal. Overall the beers were pretty average.

Great family friendly place to grab some food and beers.

Awesome outdoor seating, good brews, and great comfort food. The ugly burger is amazing, so are the mac and cheeses (cast iron skillet filled w/ mac and chess w/ bbq pork or chicken).

Had some blackened mahi tacos and a flight of beer... I must say, I really enjoyed both quite a bit. If I didn't live in California I'd definitely be back.

an enormous new place in downtown saratoga, with a huge courtyard out front, restaurant seating there, and the brewery in an old barn looking building behind. food on the bottom, with the brew house visible on the upper level through a window. the food here is exceptional. some of the best mac and cheese ive had anywhere, and im hard to please with that dish, and everything everyone else ate was met with great reviews as well. the beers were all pretty solid, nothing standout, but it was cool to see both a gose and a berliner on a menu that i expected the classic lager, amber, and porter thing on. people were friendly and the place was buzzing at lunchtime friday. i liked the stout they had too, thick and chocolaty. a great place to meet for a beer and a meal, bustling but not too loud to chat and relax, and probably pretty fun in a sunday football type setting too. overall we had a great time here, the food was a bit more compelling than the beer, but the place is definitely worth checking out.

Brewery is on the second floor with the bar/tap room on the first floor. There is seating in a room off to the side of the bar. Food was reasonably priced. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal, from chicken wings to a burger. Service was excellent. Bartender was knowledgeable about the beers she was serving. Personally I got the sample pack for beer which was six different choices. They were all middle of the road or better. Selection was scarce and I wish there was a stout or a DIPA, but to each brewer their own. I would love to see what the place looks like in the summer with the outdoor seating and outside bar. I would go here again.

Outside tables are a great place to hang with friends. The open courtyard disperses noise upward so its not loud like most bar/restaurants. You can actually have a conversation at a normal voice tone. Food is typical pub fair with a few alternates to please vegetarian palettes. At the price point reasonable quality, but not the reason to go here. Beer and atmosphere rule here!

Stopped in on a weekend trip for a show. I fell in love with the atmosphere with a good modern/country bar vibe and the beer, not to forget the food was awsome. The beers are great with a good selection to satisfy everyone tastes. the food was delicious and fairly priced. We went two days in a row and when we left I even told my ol lady I could eat there everyday if I could, not joking one bit. Overall I enjoyed the the experiance and look forward to returning for a pint and growler fill.

New to the area, found this place in the off season. They managed to have the fire pits and tables blazing during the Victorian Stroll (old-timey Christmas-fest in Saratoga) with a fannnntastic outdoor band (santa on the sax). It was a great time. We've been there a few more times since. Decent food, you can get better in the area, but generally you will not leave disappointed or hungry. The beer is fabulous and changes occasionally. Highly recommend it to those looking for good food and drink in a less uptight setting.

Just, got out and drove north, should have done this weeks ago. Thruway through the Capitol Region and out the other side, making Saratoga Springs in under 3 hours, in the rain, not too shabby, and ran 9 through town ‘til it felt like it was time to park. Maxed the meter and played a bit of ‘walkabout lookaround, find the new brewpub’. My second favorite game behind ‘connect four’…

Sunken and surprisingly tucked back a-there through the gates and the lengthy widening triangular courtyard out front. A whole lot of room out front there, some of it awned up; bar counter space on one wall, and shared benchings on the other. 2 dozen or so square tables riddled about, amidst heat lamps clustered (for now) and potted plants. Seems they’re building a large bar in the far corner, too.

Inside, a straight gray slab concrete bar with an etched logo on center, framed panel base, wood foot box, and seating for 15 on hightop wood chairs. Barback is a framed dark wood unit with alt booze shelved, tiered, shelved, tiered, and flatscreens over the two inner sections of counter tiered booze. Glassware shelved below the bar for the easy grabbing. Framed logo piece and another flat on the end. Mirrored panel window piece and a bar counter for 6 behind me with a pair of hightops.

The room is mad vaulted with a brew room behind glass up above the bar. Arched corrugated ceiling, beigey walls with panel windowage forward and running above, and the side wall of horizontal plank save a vertical striping that runs below the brewroom. From the ceiling, there are 3 single bulb lighting fixtures shaped as, well, they seem to be bits of twisted angled metal welded together. They widen from the top down and then drop to a point at the bottom; I’m thinking they’re actually giant drill bits should you need to drill to the earth’s core again. They are cool shit.

Far wall holds a kitchen peekaboo window. End of the bar has one, too, looking in on the back room dining area. White wall with red curtained windows, framed Saratogy black & whites prints, wall mounted candleholders, and shelved lanterny things in the corner. Sunken spots from a low slat ceiling and wood planky floors. 30+ tables, ½ of them run an ‘L’ along shared benchings on 2 walls; the others in rows, 2’s & 4’s.

2 stainless steel handle bar towers at different points along the bar, currently pouring 7 house beers, sampled on a circular metal tree rack of sorts (Brevity Wit, 4.8%, coriander, orange peel, good nose, a nice Wit; Golden Rule Pilsner, 5.3%, nice hoppiness, and dry dry dry; Against The Grain Hefeweizen, 5.6%, seems filtered, yep, banana clovey, but a bit bandaidy; Oktoberfest, 6.4%, malty, sweet, lovely, rich; Belgian Style Stout, 5.6%, cocoa, chocolatey maybe, spicy Belgian notes, okay; Fist of Karma Brown Ale, 5.6%, dry hopped with Amarillo & Crystal, hoppy brown but malty malty, that’s a nice effin’ Brown, George; All In IPA, 6.2%, Crystal, Amarillo, & Horizon, it’s a beautiful sticky, piney IPA), and 2 guest taps (Troegs Troegenator Doublebock & Warwick Valley Pear Cider). Golden Rule Pilsner, Oktoberfest, Fist of Karma Brown Ale, & All In IPA were the best of ‘em.

I figged I’d start with something, foodwise, and then you know, have something else. But what? Soup, yes. It will be the smoked chicken soup (beer, bourbon, black beans, chicken, orange peppers, celery, onions, and broccoli on center), served in a giant bowl. It was creamy as soups go, and had the good heat, which is not the too much heat. It was of the very Autumny harvest excellent. And then the Druthers house salad (local baby greens, candied walnuts, wee tomatoes, & caramelized onions, in a porter based balsamic), also served in a big bowl. Normally I would have shooed away the walnuts, even if they were hiding behind being ‘candied’ (nonsense), but they were good in the salad. She said “Walnuts, they’re brain food”. “Why? Do they make you smart?” “No, because they look like little brains”. Yeah, that does not help the walnut cause. The food was kickin’, and I didn’t even get into the Bolognese or short rib type things. Daaamn.

Good tunes. Comfortable house for me, sitting barside, I wouldn’t mind seeing the outside area when it jams during the kind weather, though. So, like I said, I got some great foodings, and the beer is on, I’ll be curious to see what else George pulls out of his hat as things progress here but I like what I see just a few months in...

This is the newest addition to the Saratoga bar scene and I have to say I was quite impressed. It wasn't open yet when I visited at the end of July/early August but when I returned for the end of the Saratoga track season over labor day weekend, it was at the top of my list for places to check out.

Its new enough that our taxi driver hadn't heard of it and didn't know where it was so we simply went by the address on Broadway and got dropped off about a block away from where it is. Its a little tough to spot from the street as the bar/restaurant is kind of set back from the street. There's a wrought iron fence that is open and it is set back from there with a very large outdoor patio and standing area in front of the restaurant/bar area. It was absolutely packed with people but adequately staffed and roomy enough that I knew we would probably be able to get a seat if we just exercised some patience. I like how they still serve the beers in glasses out here even though the ground is concrete and it would be easy to have glasses breaking all over the place. I didnt see any broken ones dutring my visit though.

Within a few minutes, we got seats at the bar and I tried a few samples which they didnt charge me for- before I opted to go with a Last Straw pilsener. It was quite clean and crisp and better than I expected as were the samples that he had given me. In my experience some of these new brewpubs need a year or so of being open before their beers get good but --these guys seem to be "off and running" right off the bat. I also tried a smoked amber which was very true to its description and more drinkable than this style typically seems. I asked the outdoor bartender if he knew about Rauchbier and he had no clue what I meant. Usually rauchbiers are darker than amber but I feel thats what this one was aiming to represent. I also tried the IPA and it wasn't as hop forward as one might expect but it was still true to style and tasted nice and clean with no offputting characteristics. My wife got the hefeweizen and it was quite tasty too.

We had some food and I was very impressed how they use 3 different meats for their burgers and the appetizer of Summer beer cheese dip was quite good also. The one thing that really stood out about Druthers though were the servers. They may have had a slightly phony "we are happy to serve you " type attitude but I dont care whether it was genuine or not. When you are constantly greeted with a smile and friendly accomodating service, it makes a very favorable impression. And it did here. I highly recommend this place and its a great addition to the scene in Saratoga. Most of the good places aren't on Broadway anyway, so now there is one that is definitely worthy of visiting each time I am in Saratoga.

The brewery sits back from Broadway hard to see from the road but easy if you are walking look for the big metal archway. You will walk through a big courtyard that has plenty of tables and large area to stand and drink as well. There's an outside bar with just their beers on tap but inside you'll find a full liquor bar. The inside is spacious with recycled wood from and old barn which adds a lot of character. From the bar you look up to the brewing area which is impressive.
I sat at a concrete bar and order a sampler of their beers which they poured me in 6 tulip glass. The beer ranged from porter to Belgium. It cost $14 for the sampler a little pricy but I think it was worth it considering the Belgium was 11 abv. The beers are solid I whish they had and IPA but they didn't the day I was there. They also have 4 guest beers.
I also order house made fried mozzarella and french fries while the mozzarella was good fries nothing to write home about.
Overall a great new Brewery for the Capital Distric I wish them luck. They mentioned they want to put outside fire pits for the fall/winter season which would be great addition.
