a dragon fruit and paw paw berliner, really pretty pink hued brew with a wonderful fruity profile, perfect acidity level, and nice low alcohol content for hot weather slamming. we had this on tap at the abbey brewing company in miami, and all of us loved it. not a big head on it, and not a lot of carbonation, but the slight sweetness and highly tropical fruit flavors in this, combined with a moderate sourness thats super clean, makes an awesome mouthfeel nevertheless. sweet pulpy fresh tang dragon fruit right away on the first sip, subtle acidic lemon and orange notes follow, with some appreciable raw white wheat in here too. not watery for how light it is, even without much carbonation, and clean in the end. not overly familiar with paw paw fruit, but it seem quite a bit more mellow than the dragon fruit, which is distinct in here. the tang is just right though, and the fruit balances it well. more carbonation i do think would improve this, but i really dont miss it much. very refreshing when ice cold. my first beer from these guys!

Reviewed from notes. Had on-tap at Stein & Vine. Served in a goblet.
A: Pinkish purple, very hazy. Low visible carbonation, no real head formation.
S: Vaguely fruity, tangy and lactic tartness. Mild husky grain bill. Not a huge aroma overall.
T: Fruits (Dragon fruit, lemon, and a touch of strawberry and kiwi). Lactic tartness, lemon rind, and mild graininess here as well. Finishes fairly dry with underripe fruit and lactic tartness.
M: Light body, average carb for the style, and negligible alcohol presence.
O: Good, though certainly more in the vein of CCB's Berliners rather than Wakefield's. I'd drink another if offered.

A Florida Weisse made with dragon fruit and pawpaw fruit. Extremely refreshing and perfectly sour. Color is a perfect pink hue. The 3rd Berliner style I have had from hourglass. All have been good so far.
