On tap at ABV last night. This is an imperial rye IPA.
A deep red with a dense, beige head with good retention and lacing, this looks great. The nose is dominated by a blend of spicy rye and huge hops. Grapefruit, pine, a little alcohol are present. Pineapple and mango are also present. The palate opens with a blend of juicy and fruity bitterness with mango, pineapple and grapefruit. This is followed by a modest rye character, spicy, fruity with a base o caramel and buckwheat honey. A pleasing warming alcohol character is present. Medium in body with moderate bitterness on the finish, a mild sweetness and a creamy palate make for an enjoyable beer. Recommended.
