From a 22 oz bottle: black color. Thin head but about right for this style of beer. Very strong aroma, dark fruit and bourbon. Tastes the same way. This is a well done barrel aged beer in my opinion; the alcohol is well hidden.

Little to no barrel character in the nose. Coffee and tequila perhaps? The taste is reminiscent of watered down coffee with a splash of still more tequila. Very thin in the mouth with a lingering slightly metallic aftertaste. As shame since regular Ridge Run is such a solid stout. This is one they should have ate for the sake of their reputation.
