The second seasonal in the Experimental Forest Series, Scaler Single Hop IPA is brewed and dry hopped exclusively with Vic Secret hops, harvested out of Australia. Delicious notes of passionfruit, pineapple and pine, with a crisp refreshing finish make this IPA a perfect choice for summer.

Undated bomber, bought at Costco. Frosty, unfiltered pour with light head. Very prevalent hop aroma with a different bouquet than the usual NWIPA. Floral, faintly musty and earthy. Has a strong but not harsh hop profile, hits the edge of the tongue and lasts. Despite that, it has a creamy, full mouthfeel. It reminds me of the early taste of hops from that sip of dad's beer foam as a kid. We liked it the more we tasted it, gradually warming up. If you're around OR or WA and find one, pick it up..

Light colored and very clear save for a small amount of sediment. Good sticky lacing and well carbonated just like I like it. Ponds resin and pine bark on the nose with a faint note of saltines and cracked wheat. Big bright green citrus notes dominate with pine sap and light pine needles. Faint notes of apricot and honey drown in the pine. Just a faint amount of tin at the end leave a long juicy draw.nice tasty ipa. Not overly bitter, but a heck of a lot of flavor.

Lovely yellow amber brew with plenty of foam in the Timmermans goblet. Aroma is deep and alluring, with green melon and a whiff of pineapple. Fruity hop flavors with passionfruit are really appealing, and then there's a green apple note. Some malty notes of sugar cookies plus straw and white grape.
This is just tremendously drinkable. There's a bitter finish that goes nicely with the fruit and the fading malt. It's less bitter and intense than typical IPAs, not that there's anything wrong with that. This is one of my favorite hop flavors after just one taste. I"m going back for more. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Special Brews in Lynnwood.

Clear gold with creamy off-white head with thick foamy lace. Bomber in a chalice. Lazy bubbles cling to glass.
Smell is very dank hops, heavily skewed towards the tropical fruit spectrum as suggested by the label, but with a satisfyingly resinous backbone and some fresh-cut hay to balance it out
Taste is zesty bright herbs, with a sweetly bitter tropical hop finish and clean biscuit malt. Interesting counter to the nose bring this full circle on the IPA flavor spectrum. Fresh.
Mouthfeel is light, snappy but a slight softness, almost cask-like, with a dry finish.
Drinkability is high, really liking this IPA, unique but lots of depth of character and highly drinkable. Super impressed, well done!

Grunt fill from Albertsons. Mildly hazy golden body capped with a small creamy head. Moderate lacing. Musty, piney aroma. Dry, hoppy taste with a metallic tinge. Finishes the same way. Closer to the APA end of the scale.
