Draft. Pint glass. Darker brown body, half finger offwhite head. Caramel, a bit nutty, not too much more to it than that. Perhaps a bit of roast coffee bean. Lighter medium bodied, straightforward caramel and nutty sweetness, a bit of burnt malt, fairly standard and boring brown ale.

This is a funny one. It's light, yet dark! Flavor is burnt as well as bitter. Spritzy and lightweight body but a scratchy, take-no-prisoners aftertaste. Attractive darkish amber, very clear and plenty of foam in the Crooked Line tulip.
The surprising bitterness digs in and does not let go, making the wispy body even less inviting. I don't know why they even use the word "malt" when "burnt cereal" would have been more descriptive. Probably my least favorite ever from Ritual, which does such nice things with their single-hop IPAs. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Bottlecraft in San Diego.
