2018 bottle poured at fridge temp. Pours motor oil black with zero head. The nose is lovely - tons of molasses and black licorice. Loads of whiskey as well.
The taste is quite good. Almost still. Black licorice, roasted malts, molasses, tobacco, blackberries, and a nice layer of rye. A nutty note comes through as it warms. I am not sure if the age killed the carbonation, but this might have tasted quite a bit different when fresh.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied and the aftertaste is fruity and roasty.

2018 from a bottle courtesy of @Beersnake1. Thanks Tim!
The monster pours the deepest reflective black. Smooth as silk looking, with an almost none existent mocha colored foam ring.
Tons of booze flows from the glass. A little medicinal with wood, toasted almonds, and chocolate. I'd say the nuttiness amplifies as it warms.
Once again, this in very nutty in flavor. And once again, exceptionally boozy. Good dose of chocolate, wood, and licorice which gives off an earthy root-like taste.
Smooth and coating, but not quite syrupy. Heavy warming from the elevated abv, perhaps even more intense due to lack of carbonation.
A true sipper here, which should help out with this lingering cold I've got. No question, Tim likes his beers strong!!! I abide.
Thanks again man!
Cheers.
