Pours a clear crimson with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, caramel, and slight nutty aromas. Taste is much the same with caramel and herbal flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roasty bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an below average beer that is too bitter to be enjoyable.

The beer pours a dark red/amber color with a khaki head. Wow, terrible ose on this. Starts off with an overload of acetone and butter. Other aromas include alcohol, green apple, and a harsh, almost solvent note. No real malt or hop smells to it. The flavor at least has some bread and malt sweetness. But, it’s right back to the green apple, solvent, butter, and alcohol. There’s a very harsh bitterness to it as well. Just all around unpleasant.
