A a wonderful ruby color that is undercut by a touch of orange. Minimal head retention and lacing. 4
S sweet candied toffee, bourbon barrel, malty, sugary, almost like licorice 4
T very mellow--bourbon in the front end, followed by toffee, vanilla, caramel, with a wash of booze soaked stone fruit. Just a touch of coconut mixed with malty bready goodness. The booze could be more present, but the absence of booze makes this more drinkable. Very complex beer. 4.5
M very delicate but not watery. I prefer a bit more viscosity, but the carbonation is nice.
O this is a very complex and for the most part well balanced brew. Interesting to say the least. 4.25
