A nice auburn color, slightly orange with a hint of red--light tan head. 3.5
S light Malt but not much else on the nose. Very odd. A sweetness I can't place 3.25
T I taste no oak. It's acrid and flat and slightly oxidized. A touch of sweetness with not much else. 3.25
M watery with too much carbonation. 3
O I'm not impressed at all. 3

On tap at Claremont Craft Ales in Claremont, CA.
Billed as an oaked red ale.
Pours a clear honey brown with a foamy beige head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, malted milk, butter, and wood aromas. Taste is much the same with malt and wood flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an average beer with no real hop presence and some noticeable buttery aromas and flavors.
