A 330ml bottle with a BB of April 2018, so it's a bit out of date. Acquired a while back from a webshop. Described on the label as a German pale ale; hopped with Tradition, Mosaic, Citra and Cascade.

A: Poured into a tulip. Bottle conditioned. A hazy amber colour with plenty of suspended sediment and moderate carbonation. Produces a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a while before reducing to a persistent surface layer. Slight lacing.

S: Aroma of earthy yeast with hints of mild esters, subtle grainy malt, faint grass/hay and a vague leafiness. Bland.

T: Tastes of earthy yeast with notes of mild malt, subtle grass/hay, leafiness and faint floral hints. Very dry, followed by a delicate leafy bitterness upon swallowing.

M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with fizzy carbonation and decent body. Somewhat astringent; dries the palate. Aftertaste of earthy yeast, leafiness and faint malt.

O: Meh - not great but probably too old. Looks OK, while the aroma and flavour are yeasty and dull with faint hints of oxidation. So-so body; too carbonated. No great shakes but my fault for leaving it so long. I'll have to review a fresher example....

L: An orange honey color with no head, no lacing either
S: A juicy watermelon, cantaloupe, or other melon fruits, a touch of honey, smells wet a little watery
T: Weird taste, not the typical Pale ale flavor I was expecting, a chalky flavor thats mixed with watermelon, not that pleasing.
F: A slightly watery taste, ends crisp and smooth but lacking a little
O: I've enjoyed other CREW beers but this is not the best, the taste just isn't there.

Resin, Bold, Unique, Hoppy

While it keeps the balance of a Pale Ale the hoppiness is pretty damn extravagant and rustic at the same time. Quite a showing from Herkules, Nelson Sauvin, Chinook, Citra, and Cascade with suggestions of citrus pith, mint, pine, green tea, and peppercorn. With all of this the maltiness keeps a balance. Seriously hoppy, fun to knock back.

Bought online in the Crew Republic Fan Pack.
Poured into a sniffer.
Label claims that this is one of the beers that helped start the German craft brew movement. Also labels the style as a German Pale Ale.
This is a solid summer time type of beer. Orangy-amber pour, light head. Fruity smell with your typical APA fruits and some hints of caramel. Taste was also mostly fruity with a hint of caramel. Mild hops. Good beer to crack open on a warm spring day and enjoy with a nice Schweinebraten. Solid APA from a very solid brewery.
