Poured from 12 oz picked up at brewery into stemless wine glass.
A- black opaque look, aggressive pour yields light brown head with large bubbles that quickly dissolves to a ring with some lingering film on top with lacing .

S- coffee up front and some sweet biscuity and vanilla notes. Not as complex as expected.

T- Coffee and roasted malt is about all I can find. Sweet finish is washed away by the aggresive bite of the carbonation.

M- a bit thin and the bubbles are overwhelming the entire experience. Maybe if I had let warm a bit more ?

Overall- I didn't want to be harsh with this review but I don't expect to pick this one up again. This is a new brewery and would like to support a local business but not at price I paid.

The brewer asserted confidently that Milk Stout was his favorite among his four beers. I'd agree this one is his finest work.

Poured from a bottle into a seidel.

A: Opaque brown-black body with lots of bubbles clinging to the glass. A finger of chocolate-milk colored head that leaves some fizz on top. Eventually fades to nothing.

S: Roast coffee, chocolate and a cream. The hops wake up as it warms, accompanied by sugary malt.

T: Mostly coffee with a little bit of sourness on the back end. None of the burnt flavor I get from some milk stouts.

M: Bubbly and bright - this is not a motor oil stout.
