Amber seems to be one of Leopold's beers that is always on tap. Tasted on May 11 in a pint-sized glass. Pour is reddish-brown, amber if you will. Pretty clear, visibility through the glass. Little head and no lacing to speak of. There is a lot of yeast on the nose (pretty typical of L.B's beers.) A lot of fruity sweetness as well. Some malt too. Not very balanced. Taste is relatively full and bold. Malty with a bit of yeast present. The aftertaste is sweet and a bit dry or chalky. Mouthfeel is pretty normal. Not terribly carbonated, not a lot of presence. On the whole this is not a bad beer. Better than most I've tried at this place. It's not terrible to sip if you are just hanging out with friends at Leopold Brothers. Nothing spectacular though.

Looks red with a little depth to it. The smell is chalky and yeasty but in a unappealing way, the malt is buried in there some where. The taste is a little better sweet malt and a hint of noble hops but the aftertaste is chalky and a touch rancid. Decent mouthfeel, but not really drinkable, maybe they will try this over and make it better.
