Draft at PreFunk. Deep golden pour, small to non existent head. Teasing aroma of hops and malt. Hops hijack the taste, a bit too much, medicinal. Woody, sap. A but astringent. Juniper.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a semi-dark amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a decent pace. Mild stringy lace. The aroma had some sharp grassy to citrusy bitter hops with a fair caramel/toffee malt backbone. Light cracker quality and an earthy hoppiness. The flavor melds the previously mentioned aromas together semi-sweetly with an underscore of bitterness. Gentle crisp hoppy aftertaste pushing the finish to be quick with a sly bitter hoppiness. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. Soft feel on my tongue. Overall, definitely a West coast styled DIPA. I didn’t mind this but it’s not one over the top.

8.2%...not the 9.5% stated here. Pours a medium straw gold with a half-inch head that leaves some lacing. Nose is medium pine-citrus. Good, but it doesn't stand out in a specific way. Taste is solidly bitter with a good sweet base. Again, not memorable, but good. Overall the kind of beer you enjoy very much at the time, but don't remember or seek out.

Had on tap at festival. One of the more memorable beers. Sign said super dank and it was right. Sticky sweet with a crushing bitterness on the finish.
