Bottle from Albertsons. Medium amber, caramel color, small frothy head fades. Aroma is sweet malt, caramel. Taste follows with more caramel malts, light sweetness, a tad dry, bitterness a mere after thought. A nod to the English style.

Bought two growlers at Alameda --- one Klikitat pale ale, one Admiration IPA. According to the most recent review here, the color of the Admiration should be "deep amber"....which it most certainly is not.
Celebration, which is the Sierra Nevada beer that this one emulates, is amber colored and definitely has a malt backbone, and much more maltiness than typical 'PNW' IPAs....and that description would apply to this beer.
So thanks to the barkeep for clearly screwing up my two beer order. And as I now can 't say for sure what I'm reviewing, I'll now stop.

Deep amber in color. Slightly hazy with a two finger, off white head. A fair amount of lacing. Aroma is light caramel malt and grass. Flavor is similar, grapefruit, pine, and herbal notes also. A bitter hops aftertaste that could use a bit of smoothing out. A decent beer, but not a favorite for me.

Pours a finger and a half of foamy head on a hazy dark straw body.
The aroma is ripe orange, lemon and grapefruit.
The taste has a good pine bitterness, enough malt to make it easy to drink.
The texture is thicker.
Nicely done.
