This beer is almost a dead knock off of an English barleywine I recently had at OEC. Color is dark walnut copper. Sad looking head. Dark and died fruit aromas. Figs, raisins, honey. Floral vanilla, slight apple acidity, woody notes. Warming throughout. High carbonation with a medium light body.

Pours a cloudy light brown, quite thick looking, carrying an inch of tan finely knitted foam that retreats to thick skim and leaves oily legs on glass.
Brandy is the leading flavor of this med./full strength perfume. Caramel apples, vinous hints, a touch of floral, lighter touch of yeasty tart, and an underlying lightest touch of earthy spice complete. Hard to stop inhaling. Exceptional bouquet.
Sweet mother of all that is wonderful, this beer is one of the most amazing first sips I have had in a while. It explodes with sweet fruitiness and brandy aromatics, all the flavors of the nose are here, but it has a complexity it will take some time to decipher, it is literally awash with flavors. Plum, apple, vanilla, grape must, tart yeast, light herbal thing going on,alcohol spice, and a simply spectacular end of sip that defies description. Stellar. Amazing. Beyond delicious.
Thick and low carb. this is the perfect frame for the flavors in this, beyond clean, beyond a great finish, beyond complexity.
Folks, this is the finest new beer I have had this year. Highest recommendation.
