Pours almost a light colored cider with a thin white head that quickly leaves a bare cap.
Aroma is white wine and apples, rounded tart, some earthy notes, and merest hint of herbal hop bitter. As I drink I catch whiffs of peach.
Apple is more forward in taste, but the wine notes in the nose are here as well, even hints of sour peach. Not so funky as one would guess from being a barreled wild ale, just hints of a hormonal thing going on. Nice tart ties taste together. Earthy notes give sip a dry end. As it warms light oaky barrel notes join the party.
Medium viscosity and low carb., refreshing, interesting. Clean finish that could use a bit more zing.
Decent beer, sorta apple heavy and funk light, but a tasty beer I am glad to enjoy. If you are looking for a funky wild ale, this ain't it.

A: Pale straw color similar to sparkling cider. Rocky and fizzy head. Expectedly short lived.
S: Initially trends toward predominant wood and oak. Sweet apples, slight sulfur. Floral citrus.
M: Light feel and crisp body with slight astringency from tannins.
T: Good barn funk without tasting like a horse blanket. Mrally straw, apple esters with oak providing some earth to balance and ground everything. Good sour, lactic bite to it. Green tasting beer, grapes, granny smiths, grass and wood grain. Never the biggest fan of sours but this one is pretty good.
