I had this on draught at the brewery. It was a pint pour served in a tulip glass. It pours almost jet black with dark walnut hues when held to the light, and a foamy, ecru head and lacing. I think the head would have been better if served at a warmer temperature. It has a pleasant aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, and dark fruit. It's really tasty: lots of plum and other dark fruit, with rich chocolate and a touch of smoke. It is medium-bodied, smooth as silk, and creamy. The ABV of 9.1% gives it a punch but it's still easy to drink. Overall, this is one of the best Baltic Porters I've ever had. The dark fruit gives it a lot of character. It's really good. I wish RD would can it.
