Canned on 4/3/2017. Poured into Rushing Duck Belgian glass. It pours a turbid golden straw with a foamy, bright white head and lacing that clung to the glass throughout the entire pour. The primary smells are lemon, grass, yeast, and a whiff of sweet malt. The first thing I taste is pineapple and lemon peel. There's a subtle fruity sweetness, then lots of hops but not terribly bitter. There is also a touch of pepper and spice at the finish. This ale features lively carbonation and a moderate ABV of 6.8% which allows for easy drinking. Overall, while this variant of DBZ is heavily hopped, it is only 60IBUs and doesn't bite nearly as hard as War Elephant or War Daddy. It's very easy to drink and would be really good on a hot day. It's a nice change of pace IPA for Rushing Duck.

Pours a turbid, muddy orange in color with a finger of white head with good retention. Aroma is earthy with lychee. Taste hits the same notes as the aroma; finish is fairly balanced. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. This beer reminds me very strongly of 10 week old Tree House Green and this isn't really a good thing. Maybe I'm used to super fresh NE IPAs but I should enjoy this beer more at 19 days old. I absolutely loved the last DBZ iteration that I had but this one disappointed me a bit. I'm now looking to the 4.3.16 Southern Hemisphere DBZ for my fix.
