As good as their original Ded Moroz is, this one kicks it up a notch with just enough maple to smooth it out, and an orange peel finish to perk you up again.

I had this on draught at the brewery. 8 oz. pour served in a tulip glass. It pours jet black - as black as any beer I've seen - with a creamy, dark khaki head with good retention and lacing that coated the glass through the pour. This is as pretty a pour as they come. The nose features roasted malt, coffee, and maple syrup. It's highly aromatic. Wow, what a taste! thick, creamy maple syrup up front with freshly-brewed coffee and nuts. The orange appears at the finish and it's subtle but evident. There is very little bitterness. This Stout has a super thick and creamy mouth feel with low carbonation, and you can feel the 11.2% ABV. Overall, this variant of Ded Moroz is simply decadent. You could almost pour it on pancakes. It's delicious unless you object to a sweet beer.
