This is a collaboration among Rushing Duck, Weyerbacher, and Brotherton Brewing in New Jersey. I had this on draught at Rushing Duck. A 12 oz. pour served in a tulip glass. It pours a hazy, golden tangerine color with a creamy, milk-white head and elegant, equally creamy, lacing. It's a very attractive pour. Its smell features lemon, sweet pineapple, honey, vanilla, and the unique aroma of brux yeast. The taste opens quite dry with lots of tart lemon. At mid-sip there are notes of pineapple and wildflower honey. The Hellertau Blanc hops give it a champagne grape taste and the Citra and El Dorado hops add bitterness without a strong bite. This ale is nicely tart and bitter, although as the glass warms there is much more flavor of honey and pineapple. This ale is lite and crisp with lively carbonation, and its 7.7% ABV gives it nice substance. Brux IPAs are all the rage. Rushing Duck, Weyerbacher, and Brotherton are quality brewers and this collaboration is first rate.
