I had this at the brewery. Pint pour. It pours a turbid apricot color with a modest milk white cap and lots of long-lasting, creamy lacing. Its smell features tangerine, grapefruit, brown sugar, bubblegum, and white wine. While the nose is subdued it is also unique. The taste opens with dry white wine, along with tangerine and caramel. The complex hop bill of Mosaic, Azacca, Hellertau Blanc, and Bru-1 (totally unknown to me) is moderately bitter but without a strong bite. The overall taste is complex and sweetens somewhat as the glass warms but it's really pleasing. This ale is rather thick and viscous with moderate carbonation, and you can really feel the 9.1% ABV; there's a distinct alcohol burn. Overall, That's a Monday Problem is an ambitious DIPA. It has a complex, pleasing taste and feel but I wish the ABV could be reduced without sacrificing its bold taste.
