On draught at the brewery. Served in a tulip glass. It pours a lovely ruby-orange color with a thin, ecru-colored cap and a thick coating of lacing inside the glass. The fragrant nose includes apple, plum, raisin, caramel, and brown sugar. It's delicious! There is abundant apple, raisin, caramel, and fruity esters, along with dark rye bread. The various flavors are bold and distinguishable but blend very well. The feel is thick and creamy with moderate carbonation. It's tangy and the 11.2% ABV is deceptive. Overall, this is a magnificent beer; one of the best American-brewed Weizenbocks I've had. I believe it stands toe to toe with some of the top German Weizenbocks. Rushing Duck has once again proven its ability to brew excellent European style big beers.
