A tribute to our hometown of Chester, NY. It's a traditional Czech Pilsner that's crisp and refreshing with bready malt character. Drinks great after a few miles on the rail trail.

Pours a clear golden color, visible carbonation. Large white head retains well, lots of foamy lacing.
Aroma is mostly malty and sweet. Notes of bready and biscuity malts, honey, and graham cracker. Subtle hints of floral spices, citrus and grass.
Taste is malt forward with sweetness throughout. A gentle touch of hops bitterness and earthy, floral and grassy flavors add some balance. Notes of doughy and bready malts, biscuit and cracker and honey.
Medium bodied, a bit fuller for a Pils but easy to drink. Mouthfeel and finish are crisp and carbonation are moderate to lively.
Solid Czech Pilsner, a tad sweet, but mostly enjoyable.

A: The beer is relatively clear yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of bready and sweet malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell but has hints of grassy and spicy hops toward the finish. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied, clean and a bit smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This pilsner is nice and malty without being overly heavy on the palate. I particularly enjoyed the subtle notes of sweetness, which were mostly restrained by the underlying hops.

Picked this up as part of a mixed pack of local cans. This beer pours light, as expected, but a little more gold than yellow. About a half to three quarter inch of off white head. Standard aroma for the style, I get white bread with hay. Beer is relatively easy to drink although it's a little heavier in the mouth than what is generally found in this style. Tastes OK.

I don't have a problem with this can being included in the four pack and I think I understand what they're doing but I wouldn't revisit this beer and certainly won't be going out of my way to find it a second time. I prefer most shelf pilsners and certainly prefer everything I've ever had from Suarez, as well as Feel No Way from Hudson Valley. Average, do not recommend.
