8 oz can. Pours yellow orang with a white head that dissipates quickly. Not a lot of lacing. It smells and tastes very boozy, with a 16 abv I imagine it should. It tastes very thick and sticks to the tongue. I love the beers from this brewery and applaud the effort but this beer doesn’t do it for me.

Reviewed on release day. Poured from two 8 oz. cans into a Rushing Duck Belgian glass. It pours an opaque, pastel straw-yellow color with a a foamy, milk-white head and thin sheen of lacing. The smell is dank with lemon, tangerine, onion, and a whiff of tropical fruit. It's clear from the nose that this is a big IPA. Holy cow, is it strong, dank, and malty! The initial taste is all citrus: lemon, grapefruit, and faint orange/tangerine. There is also huge malt sweetness and just a hint of oats and berry from the Enigma hops. But you cannot escape the alcohol level. The overall taste is sweet and malty with some bitter, tart citrus and berry from the Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops. Although it isn't overly bitter there is a significant hop burn at the finish, which will probably dissipate as it ages in the can. This is the most viscous IPA I've ever reviewed. It is creamy and thick with mild carbonation, and the 16% ABV is almost overwhelming. This is a huge beer! Overall, I appreciate what Rushing Duck was trying to achieve and this is a tasty beer. But I have to admit the high ABV is distracting. If it were 12% it would be a lot more enjoyable.
