This beer was originally brewed to commemorate the opening of our new tasting room. It went over so well we kept it on as a year-round offering! This is a hop forward, easy-drinking IPA with Mosaic, Idaho 7, Citra and Azacca hops. Additionally, we used some flaked barley giving the beer some body while keeping it drinkable. The hop profile in this walks the line between dank/resinous and tropical.

On draught at the brewery. 12 oz. pour served in a plastic cup (during COVID-19 pandemic). It pours a murky, lemon-orange color with a thick, creamy eggshell cap and sheen of lacing. The nose is rather subdued with lemon peel, pine needles, and lite floral hops. The taste opens with lemon, lime, grapefruit, and biscuit. But as it warms there are also notes of sweeter fruit from the Azacca and Idaho 7 hops. It has a great mouth feel: creamy with pleasant carbonation, and at 6.1% ABV it's highly drinkable. The Citra and Mosaic hops add a slight bitterness. Overall, Duck In is a nice, easy-drinking IPA. I enjoyed it in the outdoor Biergarten on a warm Summer afternoon. The cans were sold out and I'd like to try it in that format.
