On draught at the brewery. Served in a snulip glass. It pours a cloudy, deep cranberry-brown with a light mocha-colored head that dissolved into a large ring and lacing. A fragrant nose featuring chocolate, coffee, caramel, nuts, and earthy malt. Its taste is sensational! Sweet, bready malt, chocolate/cocoa, caramel, and burnt nuts. There is outstanding depth of flavor. This ale has a good, creamy mouth feel with mild carbonation, and it doesn't drink like 10.7% ABV. Overall, it is simply terrific. One of the finest Brown Ales I've had the pleasure to drink.
