Commercial description: "Panic on Funkotron is the second installment of our summer Brett trilogy. Panic is an IPA fermented with 100% Brettanomyces yeast. Light in color and brewed with 40 % wheat the beer is crisp and refreshing. The Pacific Northwest hops and the Brettanomyces yeast give the beer a deeply complex fruity flavor. The beer has notes of grapefruit, pineapple and papaya."
Growler filled at DeCicco's in Armonk, NY. (also enjoyed a few of these on draft at Birdsal House, but thats another story....)
Pours heavily hazed lighter apricot. under a delicate fine bubble froth, film , collar and well developed strands of fine lacing.
Nose of ripe fruits, bananas, pineapple and apricots come to mind.
Flavorful and super enjoyable, funked up IPA/ wild ale. Plenty of ripe tropical fruit notes, some mild musty funkiness and general deliciousness. More well worth seeking out beer from RD.
Get some goat cheese and some nuts and enjoy...
I hope thay make a lot more of this one.
