Poured from a 22oz bomber. No pop as I pried the cap off...usually not a good sign for me. No head formed as it was poured into the glass...again not a good sign. Very dark and a boozy smell. First sip was nice with a chocolate taste. Second sip was not so pleasant as all I tasted was booze. No hop taste I could detect. Feel was flat and thin. Could have been a poorly capped bottle but I don't think so. Letting it warm up just produced more of that big alcohol taste with very little chocolate. This brewery wants to be known for producing big boozy beers which they did here but doesn't have that American Black Ale taste that I enjoy.
