What began as a seasonal ale has blossomed into a true all-rounder. A straw-coloured, smooth ale with citrus notes and a lovely balanced hoppy finish. The secret is the combination of Fuggles and First Gold hops and an unusual blend of barley and wheat malts. Its resulting refreshingly bitter character is enhanced by serving chilled. It is the perfect partner for a barbeque or spicy food (sunshine optional...)

500ml Bottle conditioned: BBD of 10 May 2013, poured carefully into a UK pint sleeve 9 days before that date at home.

As the name suggests, this is a gold coloured beer, a huge white head sat on top.

The aroma was hoppy pines and grains with a yeasty undertone, as was the taste. Slight citrus notes also came into play as the beer warmed.

Refreshing and crisp in the body feel, this is a thirst quenching brew with enough flavour to interest me. Bitter aftertaste which lingered as the mouth dried.
