Big chain brewpub with U-shaped bar on right of entry that seats about 20. Plenty of additional tables both inside and out. 10 beers on tap, the one I had was ok. Fast, friendly service. Reasonable food.

I used to drive up to Maryville to meet my buddy at Smoky Mountain Brewery. I already reviewed the Knoxville location and pasted the applicable part of the review below. The main difference in the Maryville location is the presence of a more local crowd. It is a more quit location because of the set-up, which is great because you get the brewpub atmosphere, but can still have a conversation without talking to loudly.
"Smoky Mountain Brewery was my favorite place to eat when I lived in Knoxville. I still go there several times a year when I am in town. The food is great, especially the ale steak, pizzas, wings, and of course pretzels and beer cheese. The service is also great - even when there is a football crowd in town.
The restaurant is owned by Copper Cellar, who also operates several other restaurants in the East TN area.
Now for the beer: The restaurant has about 5 year round beers that they make in-house. They also rotate 1 or 2 seasonal beers. The seasonals are usually the way to go, but I also feel like to brewpub does a great job with their lagers. I would recommend getting their beer sampler to try them all."
