Poured from a growler into a 16oz Hubrew mug. Hours fresh from the tap at the brewery. Dark, rich, deep honey golden. Beautiful thick foamy white head, extremely heavy, sticky lacing throughout beer.

Pine, grapefruit, hops on the nose.

Light carbonation, pine and hops up front. A very mild sweetness in the middle, not sure, maybe bitter orange peel? The finish is quick with a hoppy, dry, bitter grapefruit that lingers but not to long...just enough to make you want another sip.

Great local brewery only minutes from my house...my beer is always fresh! They are bottling this in 6 packs, if you can find it...get it...drink it.

A - Pours a deep hazy copper with a monstrous slightly offwhite head that just hands on. It litterly took several minutes to go down enough for me to enjoy the beer. Very nice looking.

S - Citrus up front. Definately grapefruit. As the grapefruit fades, I start to pick up hints of pine as well. Also, slight biscuity/bready smell from the malts and rye.

T - Vey nice. Quite similar to the smell. I immediately picked out grapefruit and lemon with hints of other citrus fruits. As with the smell, the sweetness of the citrus was followed by the bitterness of pine. Even with the strong hops profile, you were still able to pick up on the malts and the rye

M - Medium body beer with a quite dry finish. I really expected to feel more carbonation in the mouth with the size head it head, but I did not. It is a silky smooth feeling beer

O - Wonderful Rye IPA. There is a good balance of aroma and bittering hops. Plus, the hops are balanced with a nice malt profile. The beer was easy enough to sip on even at 85 IBUs and almost 7% ABV.
