Bolero Snort Brewery "Explorabull IPA"
1 Pint can coded "COW LI MA 9/17/19"
$4.49 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: Based on the cloudy appearance I'm guessing this is a New England style IPA. It's golden orange and looks like a hefeweizen. The head is an inch or so of densely foamy off-white foam. The aroma is bright and floral, citrusy, otherwise fruity, earthy, and spicy. Quite nice! On to the flavor... the floral and earthy/spicy hops are there intertwined with the malt upfront, and then more of the bready/biscuity and lightly sweet malt steps forward across the middle followed by some returning fruity hops. What are they like? I'd say apricot, orange, berry, and apple, with maybe some passion fruit as well. Yes, the passion fruit comes out more in the finish along with some pine, and then some of the apricot, orange, and berry reappears and linger until it fades. Looking at my glass now I've noticed that I've got some very nice lacing covering it pretty well, and although I don't have a completely solid surface covering what's there around the sides is fairly full and creamy. Back to the taste, it's got some bitterness to it but it's not really soft like a juicy NEIPA, this one at least lets you know it's an IPA. It's lightly sweetish in the finish but it's also got that earthy spiciness and pine, and it feels dry - perhaps some alcohol is helping that out. In the mouth it's medium bodied and crisp. So to sum up, it's pretty nicely done, and quite enjoyable across board.

16 oz can into IPA glass. Can't read the date.
Look is a nice hazy yellow. Smell is sweet tropical fruit with orange notes. Taste follows nose with orange keading the way. Feel is medium. Overall a very nice IPA that I would drink again.

16oz tallboy can, sample from the brewery.
Pours a nearly crystal clear golden hue, lacing is on point as it leaves a long trail down the glass. Smells of orange, lime, and grapefruit zest ... juicy as well. Mild prick of hop bitterness, a lot more flavor going on here with rind, pith and zest flavors. Juicy with a hint of guava, warming alcohol is noticeable, and some bready malt in the middle. Pleasing blend of hops, well balanced for a very hop forward brew. Quite drinkable.

This is a tasty IPA that strays a bit from the hazy tropical fruit trend. Slightly hazy with nice dense foam. The smell is hoppy with kind of an earthy pine. The taste is lemony grassy citrus with slightly dank resiny pine. Tasty till the end with more lemon in the finish. yb

Very light in appearance: clear thin gold liquid caped by a massive sticky off white head.
Nose is a little grassy with elements of perfume and citrus. Maybe even some purple grape??
Yeah, that's grape in there. It works well enough though it is a little unexpected. There's more bittering pine here, balanced with the sweet grape and some grapefruit.
Thin body and heavily carbonated. This is an interesting one for sure. Glad to have gotten the chance to try it, thanks Michael!
