16 oz can.
Pours hazy and pale gold in color with a small white head. Fruity aromatics, mostly lemon citrus, with herbal hops on the back end. Fruity flavor as well with sweet malt joining the mix. Refreshing and lightly bitter. Medium-light bodied.
I'm always a bit leery when I see a Kölsch loaded with some of the new wave American hops, in this case Motueka, Wakatu, and Lemondrop, but it was enjoyable on a hot day. Not your typical Kölsch but I wasn't expecting it to be. The end result was better than I had anticipated.

This really tasted like a New England session IPA. So I'm not exactly sure how to judge it for the style so I'm just judging it based off beer in general. Simple, yet tasty. Light and nothing to really dislike about it. Citrusy, bready and crsip.

Poured from 22oz bomber into stange glass
Look - Cloudy straw yellow, 1" head that stays around a bit, decent lacing on the glass
Smell - Very faint citrus and kettle corn
Taste - Mild hop flavor, emphasis on mild. Bread. Finishes dry with more hops in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Light and refreshing
Temp - Straight from the fridge
It's simple without being completely plain-jane... one of those beers you can drink when you don't want to analyze the flavor but still want it to be a winner. I could see this being a great summer session brew if they carried it in 6-ers (bonus points for pounders). This was my first kolsch, so I'm not sure if it was the style or this variation, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it... especially for $9 a pop.
Cheers!
