-Brown ale with cocoa nibs and milk sugar.
A: A milky froth of light peanut shell color is the highlight of the appearance, sitting atop a at one inch with a very strong hold. A dark brown colored body with a sticky lace around the glass.
S: Milky chocolate of medium sense, lightly dry cocoa powder. Sweet and to the point.
T: Rich milky chocolate flavor, sweet cocoa that is rich with a bit of brown ale malt bitterness rounding out in the back end. Soft buttery nuttiness, caramel and toffee. Lingering dry milk chocolate teases the tongue long after the swallow.
M: Milky creamy soft body with a very relaxed state of carbonation.
O: Overall a sweet milky cocoa brown ale. Good drink-ability that remains strong throughout. Sweet dessert style beer.

I've had more than my fair share of chocolate/coffee-centric stouts and porters, but I think this is my first time around with such a thing in a brown ale ... and it works quite well. Deep, dark brown in color (maybe on the darker side for a brown ale). Aroma has cocoa powder and maybe a little pumpernickel bread. Taste is a well-balanced roasty bittersweet chocolate with slight coffee notes, and a smooth and creamy mouthfeel (almost like that of an oatmeal stout). Nice to experience this flavor profile in this style of beer. A very easy-drinking and enjoyable offering from the BS artists.
