Canned on 1/20/2021. Poured into a Bolero Snort stemless glass. It pours a hazy, golden-honey color with almost a finger of creamy, bright white head and thick lacing. A most attractive pour. The nose is typically Belgian with banana, clove, coriander, and the unique aroma of Belgian yeast. It's a bit sharper and hoppier than the smell would indicate. It opens with tangy banana and green apple. The spicing is strong; add pepper to the clove and coriander. And there is a significant hoppy finish. It's tangy and crisp. The body is moderate and the carbonation is lively. You can feel its 10.3% ABV. Overall, Cow of Silence is a well-executed Belgian Strong Pale Ale. I enjoyed it.
