Enjoyed from the growler from the brewery, this nice double brown ale pours a dark mahogany with an off white fine beaded head that dissipates slowly to a nice ring, a thin pool of foam, and decent lacing. Nose of sweet chocolate, brown sugars, some moderate bittering hops, and deeply roasted malts. Flavors are up front sweet without being syrupy. Brown sugars and chocolate (dark) cascade to all sides finally resting on a moderate hop balance on the rear. Smooth drinkability, decent carbonation. Finishes lightly bitter and wet. Nice.
