Thoroughly enjoyed from a growler from the source. This nice red pours a dark reddish brown with a thin white head that dissipates to a thin ring and little lacing. Nose of caramel malts, cherries, light toast, light grain, and light floral hops. Flavors follow the nose with butterscotch notes, berry notes to the sides, almost a blackberry and cherry like note, light grains to the rear, and a light crisp hop note on the aftertaste. Decent carbonation, highly drinkable finishing wet yet crisp. Awesome. A great example of a solid Irish red ale.
Cheers!
