A bit of a novelty beer...not quite a cream ale...not really an amber. 50 West calls this one an ICA (ice cream ale). The presentation in a pint glass poured red rust/copper in color with a small 1/8 in milk-white head which persisted until empty. Little to no visible carbonation present. Nose was very typical of a cream ale, real similar to Genesee. Light, barely there, green floral tones were present with nodes of sweet cream. Liquid hit the lips with a slight tingle. Body was light and creamy with no alcohol taste. Initial taste was sweet and milky with some nuttiness towards the finish. Can't really place a specific nut. Little no bitterness, 10-20 IBU. Session finishes with more green but sweet remnants remain. Overall, an interesting take on an American cream ale. Easy to drink, refreshing, tasty.
