From the growler via the brewery. This strong ale pours a deep brownish tinged
amber with a light head of white foam that settles to a thin ring and light lacing.
Nose of light grains, citrus notes of apricot, pineapple, caramel, and pine. Flavors
lightly exceed the nose with apricot and pine with a touch of subtle bitter cocoa that fade to
a light mango note on the rear with a warming grain note on the rear. Nice mouth feel;
smooth, rich, warming, and a medium mouth feel.
Reminds me of a strong scotch ale with pine and fruit notes. Not too shabby.
