Road Snack: Chocolate Lemon Bar Stout

An interesting hybrid stout from Fifty West in a growler from the
brewery in a snifter. This unique stout pours a muddled dark brownish
black with a moderate head of off white foam that subsides to a thick
ring with decent lacing. Nose of subtleties; toasted malts, touches of coffee,
hint of chocolate, subtle earthy notes. Flavors show much more than the nose with
a subtle coffee and dark chocolate note mingling with a very light lemon zest flavor
and earthy malt notes with a touch of pith and brown sugars. Nice mouth feel; medium
body, medium light carbonation, and a lightly sweet and toasted finish with a hint of
lemon.

Overall, a nice little stout of varying subtleties.
