From the wax dipped bottle in a snifter via the brewery. This solid
little imperial pours a thick opaque with a nice head of off white khaki
foam that settles to a thick ring, thin light clumping layer, and sports
some slight lacing. Nose of literal cookies and cream with touches of
brulee and char over a boiler maker of bourbon with faint oak
and vanilla. Very nice flavors indeed. Dark cocoa, cream, frosting,
brulee, char, heavy roast, and subtle dark fruits with a warming
boozy bourbon and oak note touches nicely with vanilla.
Nice mouth feel; full body, smooth, rich, coating, warming,
light carbonation, and a lightly dry and warming finish.
Overall----a new WOW benchmark for this brewery IMHO.
