From the tall boy can in a snifter. This MONSTER brew pours a deep coal
black with a fantastic head of brown foam that settles to a thick ring, thin
layer, and sports some excellent lacing. Nose of coffee, chocolate, vanilla,
cream, subtle herbal hops, and earthy malt touches. Flavors---wow.
Rich coffee, rich dark chocolate, balanced vanilla, earthy malts, cream,
char, deep roast, dark fruit touches of black and blueberry, and subtle herbal hop
touches on the rear (more evident when it was cold by the way). Excellent
mouth feel; full body, smooth, slick, coating, rich, light carbonation,
and a sweet roasted finish.
Overall......another brew that hits the high note. Best of
the Fifty West I have had yet, and the number is numerous.
They know their craft and brew it well!
Cheers!
